The Future of Claims Is Transparency

One topic I’ve been thinking a lot about lately is transparency in claims and litigation.
For decades, much of the process has operated with limited visibility. Information moves slowly. Insights arrive after the fact. Decisions are often made with incomplete context.
And in many ways, that’s still the norm today.
But in working with some forward-thinking insurers, legal teams, and technology partners, I’ve started to see glimpses of what the future could look like.
A future where data and technology allow claims and litigation teams to operate with greater visibility and shared understanding.
Not just reports delivered weeks later.
But clearer insight into progress, performance, and opportunities to resolve matters earlier and more effectively.
When that level of transparency begins to emerge, something important happens.
Collaboration improves.
Decisions happen earlier.
Strategy becomes more aligned.
Opportunities for resolution become clearer.
Transparency isn’t about oversight.
It’s about alignment.
→ Alignment between insurers and their legal partners.
→ Alignment between data and decision-making.
→ Alignment between strategy and outcomes.
The organizations beginning to explore this approach today are showing what may be possible for the broader industry tomorrow.
Technology can help make transparency possible.
But trust, collaboration, and a willingness to rethink long-standing workflows are what will ultimately make it work.
Curious how others are thinking about transparency and visibility in claims and litigation as our industry continues to evolve?
